The Freelance Assistance Programme is at the heart of our work, providing direct financial support to freelance newsgatherers and their families in over 60 countries around the world.

 1. Charitable grants provide financial assistance to freelance newsgatherers worldwide, and to the families of those who have lost their lives, been seriously injured or are suffering persecution, exile or imprisonment as a result of their work  Apply for assistance 

2. Rory Peck Training Bursaries enable freelancers, who otherwise could not afford it, to undertake safety training courses before going into hostile environments

3. We collaborate with local and international partners to run small-scale, region-specific projects with that protect and educate freelancers and their families. The Trust also provides with financial support to enable their participation

4. Practical advice, information and support for freelancers or their families in crisis. Referrals to partners and other organisations help freelancers to access other sources of support and recognition.
