The Rory Peck Awards, one of the most prestigious events in the broadcasting industry, is to be sponsored by Sony Broadcast & Professional Europe for the next three years. This renews a valuable partnership as Sony supported the Trust from its very inception, for the first three years of the Awards thus enabling the Trust to find its niche in the world of newsgathering and begin its charitable work.

Trust Chairman Bob Jobbins said, "The renewed support of Sony is a wonderful vote of confidence which will enable the Trust to benefit from a period of stability, during which our energies can be used to establish a secure funding base for the development of our charitable work internationally and for our future operations".
