The Rory Peck Awards is an international competition, the only showcase in the world to celebrate the work of freelance cameramen and camerawomen in TV news, current affairs and features.

All the Awards are presented at the Rory Peck Awards ceremony. This annual event is the main fundraiser for The Rory Peck Trust.

We accept submissions from all freelancers who have had work broadcast between 1 August 2005 and 31 July 2006. We welcome self-funded freelance work, entries from freelancers around the world also from regions where The Rory Peck Trust is working and where it is difficult to operate.  

 In all categories the Awards honour:

• Initiative and enterprise in camerawork and concept
• Journalistic ability and integrity (including research and preparation)
• The circumstances and conditions under which the footage was shot
