Jeremy Little

The NBC News London Bureau suffered a sad loss on Sunday 7th July with the death of freelance sound recordist, Jeremy Little, from wounds received the previous weekend in Iraq.

Jeremy had been embedded with the US Third Infantry when the vehicle in which he was riding came under an RPG attack in Fallujah. He suffered severe abdominal wounds and was airlifted to Landstuhl Medical Center in Germany. There, he appeared to be recovering when infection set in, taking his life. His father and mother, John and Anna, and his brother, Timothy, were with him at the end.

Jeremy was 27 and single and had been working for NBC News since May, only shortly having arrived in the UK from his native Australia. In the short time that Jeremy had been with NBC he had established himself as a highly regarded colleague and very skilled technician. It was clear to all that he had a very promising career ahead of him.

Jeremy's parents have expressed a desire that they would be happy for any donations to be made to the Rory Peck Trust and would furthermore be pleased to hear from anyone who knew or knew of their son.
