Charitable Grants for Injured and Imprisoned Freelance Newsgatherers, or those In hiding

CRITERIA FOR GRANT GIVING

The Rory Peck Trust can give charitable grants in cases where:
  • The applicant is a proven freelancer
  • The applicant's career prospects have been severely affected, either permanently or temporarily, by this injury, imprisonment, etc.


The Rory Peck Trust will take into consideration:

  • Any other financial compensation the applicant has received/will receive - i.e. insurance payouts, compensation from contracting broadcaster, other charitable grants, etc.
  • The nature and extent of the injuries/imprisonment
  • The length of time the applicant has been unable to continue their normal work
  • The geographical location of the applicant, i.e. relative cost of living

In order to make our assessment we require:

  • As much information as possible on the application form
  • Full supporting documentation
