We have received comments like this from all over the world. So, yes — it is about time. Welcome to the first issue of The Free Lens!

Usually editors know who they are addressing. But us? We’re talking to the public who watch the news. We’re talking to the freelancers who shoot the pictures. We’re also talking to the broadcasters who commission them, the organisations concerned with their safety, and the companies who produce the equipment that makes it all possible. In short — we’re talking to those who work in ALL areas of TV news and current affairs worldwide. And all from a shoebox in London W2.

We want to reflect your news and your views. Write, phone, e-mail. Tell us what’s happening out there. We call the Free Lens your voice. So — let’s hear it.
