THE MIGUEL GIL MORENO JOURNALISM AWARD

The Miguel Gil Moreno Foundation was set up in memory of freelance cameraman Miguel Gil - who died in Sierra Leone on May 24, 2000.

The foundation seeks to continue the legacy of Miguel's journalism - which was deeply humanitarian in nature. The second Miguel Gil Moreno Journalism Award will be held on May 22, two days prior to the anniversary of his death.

The competition is open to correspondents of any nationality. All entries - whether print, audio or video - must be in Spanish, either originals or translations.

Entries should have been published or aired between January 1st and December 31 2002 and sent to Random House Mondadori, Calle O'Donnell, 19, 1a Planta, 28009, Madrid, Spain, by 15th April 2003.
