TVNewsweb.com... Thanks for the hot link, Ken

Some of the cameramen working in the TV news industry - a lot of them freelancers - have the most interesting jobs of any profession. They witness wars, earthquakes, riots, famines and all the other events that have an impact on TV viewers. And yet the story behind the newsgathering is rarely told. www.tvnewsweb.com wants to become a global 'village newspaper' for the television news industry and like most papers, it carries a mixture of news and features. Many of the features are about cameramen - the dangers they face, the logistical difficulties, the humour, the sometimes crazy situations they get themselves into. More than anything, the site is there to be an interesting read and to provide information. Hopefully - given time - as the number of people logging on increases (it now ranges between 150 - 300 a day), it'll become a worthwhile site for extracting and giving information.

News from Reuters. From Monday 6 September 1999, Reuters will be launching its new 'lifesyle' service LIFE! LIFE! will cover those human (and animal) stories ranging from the informative and educational to the funny and offbeat. A rolling service, shown three times per day Monday to Friday, the service is intended to show 'human interest' stories that affect people the world over - new developments in health and medicine, science and technology, personal money, rural change, urban stress, traffic and the environment, etc. Each feed will be of ten minutes duration with updates and 'refreshed' every 24 hours.
