The Rory Peck Training Fund

Launched last May with the support of BBC News, CNN, The Freedom Forum, The Financial Times, The Guardian and ITN, the fund has proved very successful.
In its first year, the Fund will have provided 43 freelance media workers worldwide with bursaries to attend Hostile environments training courses. Covering 75% of the course costs, these bursaries make this vital training greatly affordable to freelancers. The Bursaries are available to media workers who have been working professionally as a freelance for a minimum of 18 months. We are currently inviting applications for the new scheme which will commence in May 2001.
