Ultimate News Quiz

“Never before in the field of human quizzing have so many egos and bigheads battled it out for the sake of vanity and winning a modestly priced tin cup”

Jeremy Paxman

"Forget the BAFTAs and the RTS awards – this is the quiz that every news programme wants to win" Jon Snow

"The Ultimate News Quiz is where hacks and TV luvvies get their comeuppance"  Anne Robinson

Every Februay the UK's politicians, media luminaries, corporate brains and the TV news teams battle it out in the Ultimate News Quiz - an entertaining and highly competitive evening that rasies money for three UK charities: Action for Children, Restless Development and the Rory Peck Trust.

This year's event, held at Altitude 360, on the 29th floor of the Millbank Tower was chaired by a selection of surprise celebrity guests including Peter Mandelson and Anne Widdicombe with comedian Rory Bremner hosting the evening's auction.

The Trust benefits from the evening's table raffle which this year featured a range of wonderful prizes donated by individuals and companies including Dan Snow, Colin Peck, Google, Thames and Hudson, the BFI, the National Theatre, Brooks Brothers, Cafe Anglais and the Folio Society.

Almost £3,000 was raised from the raffle so a huge thanks to everyone who donated prizes and bought tickets.

We'd also like to thank the UNQ organising committee who invited us to participate in - and benefit from - this wonderful event.

More information at the UNQ website.
