The
Rory Peck Training Fund
NOTES
FOR APPLICANTS
The
Fund is international and open to freelancers worldwide. Approved course
providers are currently: AKE
Ltd, Centurion
Risk Assessment Services , Objective Team Ltd, Pilgrims Group and Bruhn NewTech.
Courses should be booked directly through them.

Bursaries are limited and available only to applicants
who have been working as bona fide professional freelancers for a
minimum of 18 months. Priority is given to:

Those whose work habitually takes them into hostile
environments.

Those with confirmed assignments in hostile regions.
-
Those with an immediate or urgent need.

The bursaries are for a maximum of £750 (with
the intention of subsidising approx. 75% of course costs). It is a
condition of the bursary that the trainee must pay the balance of
the course fee to the course providers before the start of the course.

Eligibility will be assessed by the Rory Peck Trust,
who reserve the right to refuse bursaries to anyone not meeting their
criteria.
TERMS & CONDITIONS

The freelancer must confirm their place on a course
within one month of a bursary being granted, or they will lose the
bursary. In special circumstances, cancellations and postponements
can be arranged only by agreement with the Rory Peck Trust.

The freelancer must attend a course within two months
of a bursary being granted.

As a condition of receiving a bursary, the recipient
is expected to write a brief (50-100 words) account of how they have
benefited from the training and the importance of the bursary to them.

The bursary recipient is required to respect the confidentiality
of other course participants.
